Hey ya'll!  I'm Julie and I've lived in Jackson, TN, all my life.  I live on a farm with my husband of 29 years. I have two children, who have grown up and left the nest. For 16 years I was a high school English teacher.  My life is pretty normal.  I have 2 rescue dogs--Leo who is an 80 pound pit mix who is scared of his own shadow, and his little buddy Josie, a dachshund mix who looks like a giant stuffed baked potato and loves to cuddle.  When I'm not taking photographs I love to travel anywhere I can, and I'm a Disney and Harry Potter nerd.  I love crafting, sewing, pottery, and painting (though I'm not very good).  I love horses and camping and hiking and summertime.  I hate "real" cooking, but I do enjoy baking and I can watch cooking shows all day long. I like binge watching horror movies, scary tv shows, true crime documentaries and podcasts (basically anything murdery).  I really want to live at the beach.  Sand and salt and ocean heal my soul.  Writing and blogging are my therapy.  Photography has always been my dream and I'm blessed to have a family who allows me to chase that dream.

Julie Bird Photography is very important to me.  Every image I create has my name and my heart and soul poured into it, so you can rest assured that I will do my very best to make you feel welcome, appreciated, confident, and completely happy with the work I produce.  Every image is shot and hand edited by me and no one else.  That means that you are receiving something that only I can create, a fine art image filtered through my lens and my artistic vision.  I want to create impeccable, unique, and heirloom pieces of art that stand the test of time.  I would love to work with you to help bring to life the images that you've always dreamed about.
