1.  What if I choose a date but don't pay my retainer or sign my contract?  Your date is not officially booked and if another client requests that date and follows through with the contract and retainer, you'll have to choose another date and time.

2.  What happens if I or my child is sick the day of the shoot?  If you or one of your family members is sick, I'll be glad to reschedule.  I want you to feel and look your best.  I will offer you my next available appointment.

3.  Do you travel?  Absolutely!  For any location that is within 30 minutes from Jackson, I do not charge.  For locations further than that, we can discuss travel fees.

4.  How do you choose the location?  I'll ask you what you're planning to wear, and what vibe or mood you want to create.  I have lots of suggestions for locations in Jackson and several surrounding areas, but if you have your own property or access to a private venue, I will be glad to shoot there.  The only place I shoot is on my own property, or public areas.  If you want a private location to shoot, you are responsible for securing the venue and paying any fees that might be required.

5.  Can I have or purchase the raw files?  No, I do not give those out at any time.

6.  Can I print my images wherever I want?  Yes, of course.  You'll receive a print release.  I recommend ordering through my website for best results.  If you choose to print at a retail store (such as Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, etc, I cannot guarantee the quality of the images).

7.  What kind of gear do you have?  I shoot with a Canon 5d Mkiv, and professional Canon L series lenses, as well as backup gear.

8.  What software do you use to process the images?  I use the latest version of Photoshop CC, which is the industry standard.

9.  What kind of editing do you do?  For all portrait photography, I treat each image individually.  For all portraits I remove blemishes or scars (unless otherwise requested), make the eyes pop, whiten teeth, smooth skin, remove distracting fly aways and make any remove distracting elements from the scene.  Next, I creatively sculpt light and enhance color and tone.  My goal is to make you look like the best version of yourself, just more polished.  The editing is where I can add my own creative and magical touches to the image, based on my artistic vision.  It is common for me to do head swaps when photographing families with small children.  If a client requests extensive editing, such as removing braces or making a composite image, there will be additional charges.

10.  Are you a licensed, insured business?  Yes, I do have a business license and am fully insured.

11.  Do you ever shoot in studio?  Yes, I have a small home studio for simple portraits, and I have professional grade lighting and modifiers.  My studio is small, so I can only accommodate 4 people.  However, if you would like to secure a larger facility, I'd be happy to set up and shoot indoors wherever you want.

12.  What if I have to cancel or change my mind?  If you decide not to have the photoshoot, you will forfeit your retainer fee as compensation to me for losing an  appointment slot.  If you cancel for any other reason than sickness, you will lose your retainer fee, or you may use your retainer fee toward  a new session in the same calendar year.

13.  Can I return or exchange my final images?  Due to the custom nature of photography, all sales of digital and printed products is final, so please read directions about booking and ordering carefully, and contact me at [email protected] for help.
